Officials and scholars from China and Germany held an online human rights development forum on Thursday to exchange views on how collective and private interests can be balanced when addressing public emergencies.
ZUO FENG Vice Chairman and Secretary General China Foundation of Human Rights Development "The theme of this forum is to balance the conflicts between public interests and the individual interests in public emergencies. This theme is decided by China foundation of human rights development and Friedrich Ebert foundation. We both believe how to effectively cope with public emergencies like COVID pandemic as well as natural disasters including floods and earthquake, are the common challenges of human rights issues of all countries. We think it is meaningful to exchange views on our practice and experience in human rights issues in these areas."
