The nation's first smart home service training center designed to integrate digital and intelligent technologies into home services was officially launched in Shanghai on Monday.

The center is jointly built by Chinese e-commerce giant JD's home service unit and Shanghai's Yangpu district government. The center provides training in daily cleaning, home appliance cleaning, organizing and storage, maternal and child care, elderly care, and pet services.

The center aims to integrate human-machine collaboration into housekeeping skills training and to generate new value from professional experience with digital and intelligent embedded training, Jiang Fan, a training instructor at JD's home services, said.

"The new training center is expected to offer specialized home service training to 8,000 people or more annually," Jiang said.

Under a collaborative model, the center is supported by the government, built and operated by the enterprise, and open to the public. It aims to become a platform that combines skill training, employment promotion and industry demonstration for cultivating housekeeping talent, so as to contribute to the home service professional skills upgrade and high-quality employment.

More than 200,000 training sessions were held nationwide via JD's home service training bases on an annual basis, creating 100,000 job opportunities every year.
