Li Xiaomei, deputy head of the Chinese delegation to the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), delivered a "Beijing+30" joint statement on behalf of nearly 90 countries at the council's annual symposium on women's rights on June 24th, calling on all countries to join hands to implement the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and promote the development of global women and girls' causes.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson on July 9 said that China looks forward to working with all parties to uphold true multilateralism, achieve high-quality development, and promote and protect all human rights. He made the remarks at a regular press briefing in response to the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on July 8.
