Slovakia on Wednesday announced the evacuation of another 99 people, including citizens of other countries, from the Middle East via two evacuation flights.
In a statement, the country's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs said one of the flights arrived in Slovakia this afternoon with 9 Slovaks, 6 Czechs and one Ukrainian from Larnaca, Cyprus. The other, departed from Amman, Jordan, is currently on its way to Slovakia with 83 people.
Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said in the statement that among the evacuees are diplomats, tourists, and babies.
Slovakia has organized evacuation flights since Monday to repatriate its citizens and assist nationals of other countries from the Middle East. On Monday, a Slovak government plane brought back 73 people, and on Tuesday, 42.
