Discussion on the Symposium on “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to Promote All-round Development of Human Rights”
Editor’s Note: The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is a very important meeting held at a critical time when China is comprehensively building itself into a strong socialist country and the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization. With the overall deployment made by the Third Plenary Session for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization, a blueprint was drawn for advancing national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization, as well as a declaration of action for promoting the all-round development of the cause of human rights. On September 24, 2024, the China Society for Human Rights Studies held a symposium on “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to Promote All-round Development of Human Rights” in Beijing. More than 50 participants, including experts and scholars in human rights studies, relevant leaders of the National Base for Human Rights Education and Training, as well as experts and scholars specialized in Xi Jinping’s thoughts on the economy, ecological civilization, and rule of law, discussed and exchanged views on relevant topics. We have selected and published the speeches of four participating experts. Taking the opportunity to study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, we earnestly hope that the academic community can make in-depth and bold explorations to open up new paths and models for human rights protection, achieve more profound theoretical innovations and practical breakthroughs regarding human rights, and promote all-round development of China’s human rights cause.
