Chinese ambassador to Uzbekistan Yu Jun attended the opening ceremony of "Human Rights Home" of the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan on Dec. 3.
Among the attendees were Akmal Saidov, director of the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan, and Asadjon Khojaev, director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications and representatives of diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan.
Yu introduced China's progress in human rights in his speech, saying that China has made historic achievements by blazing a path of human rights development that suits its national conditions, further advancing people-centered socialist democracy and developing whole-process people's democracy.
China and Uzbekistan share a similar stance and have close cooperation. Both countries actively participate in global human rights governance, oppose politicization of human rights, double standards and interference in other country's internal affairs under the pretext of human rights, he added.
China is willing to share the opportunities for development, promote the common values of humanity and advance human rights cause through exchanges and mutual learning with Uzbekistan and other countries in the world, Yu said.
Yu also introduced the development of Xinjiang and refuted lies about Xinjiang like the so-called "forced labor".
