Aug. 26, 2024 -- Recently, the Social Sciences Academic Press (China) announced the results of the 15th Excellent Annual Report Award. The general report "High-Quality Development of China's Human Rights in the Context of Chinese Path to Modernization" from Annual Report on China’s Human Rights No.13 (2023), which is compiled by China Society for Human Rights Studies, won the first prize of the "15th Excellent Annual Report Award".
For more than ten years, the Blue Book of China's Human Rights has become China's authoritative report in the field of human rights, whose authors include experts and scholars from human rights research institutions across the country and practitioners in the field of human rights. The Annual Report on China's Human Rights (2023) gives us a full picture of the developments of China's human rights in 2022, a summary of the progress and achievements, an outlook for various fields related to human rights, and advice on furthering human rights cause.

High-Quality Development of China's Human Rights inthe Context of Chinese Path to Modernization

Abstract: The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Partyof China and the important speech delivered by the Xi Jinping during the 37thCollective Study of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of CPC on thedevelopment of China's human rights have pointed the way forward for the futuredevelopment of China's human rights cause. It requires that in the overall contextof promoting Chinese path to modernization, China's human rights should bepromoted in a high-quality and comprehensive way by strengthening the leadershipof the CPC on human rights, taking the path of human rights development that issuitable for China's national conditions, innovating human rights theories under theguidance of Marxism, continuing to reform the systems and mechanisms that arenot conducive to the realization of human rights, comprehensively promoting therule of law for human rights, and actively carrying out international human rightsstruggles.
