Nov. 27, 2023 -- Jiang Jianguo, member of the standing committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), vice-director of the Committee on Ethnic and Religious Affairs of the CPPCC and executive vice-president of the China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS), on Monday morning inspected China Intercontinental Press Media (CIPM) in company with Dong Baosheng, party secretary and chairman of CIPM. Jiang also heard reports on three websites—China Human Rights, China Xinjiang and Tibet Online—at the meeting. (Photo / Xu Xiang) Good results the three websites have achieved and their contribution to China's human rights cause were fully recognized by Jiang who also stressed the need for the three websites to study and publicize Chinese President Xi Jinping's important discourses on respecting and protecting human rights, to pursue progress while ensuring stability and to uphold fundamental principles and break new ground. After hearing reports, Jiang made five recommendations on the work of the three websites: raising awareness of responsibility, adhering to correct political direction and upholding correct direction of public opinion, maintaining the working principle of "Nearing, Advancing, Going Out," innovating means of publicity, practicing result-oriented performance review.
