The challenges facing the world today, and consequently individuals as well, are not limited to Europe, Asia, Africa, or North and South America. Climate change, development-related challenges, poverty eradication, migration, and the conflicts caused by these issues are challenges for the entire international community.
With the establishment of the United Nations (UN), a system aimed at ensuring collective security and the entire process of protecting and promoting human rights, it seemed that humanity would finally enter a process of peace, security, and respect for the individual after centuries of devastating wars.
It is very important to remember the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by all countries 193 UN principles Resolution of the General Assembly on September 25, 2015.
The Agenda contains 17 development goals and 169 related goals to be used by the world by 2030.
They concern complications in 5 cases - the so-called 5xP: people, planet, prosperity, peace, partnership.
It covers a wide range, such as poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, climate change, sustainable development, peace, social environment.
Recent experiences of wars in Syria, Yemen, Africa, and the aggression in Ukraine, along with the lack of effective action by the UN, demonstrate that our system of peace and security is in deep crisis.
Power ambitions are once again beginning to dominate over the need to build a global civilization of development and respect.
So what are the values and binding values for the world of Agneda 2030, unanimously accepted by all UN member states?
Increasingly, we are being led to believe that our differences (different skin color, faith, culture ), should lead to distrust and even hostility towards each other.
In this part of the world we are told that the only system that is acceptable in governing a State is that of the Western world, others are no longer acceptable. We have been fighting and learning democracy for centuries, we have fought for our rights. Many generations have fought for their rights, we have had many mentors in this matter. The history of democracy is long, it is worth mentioning the first communities - polis.
Rights that prioritize social and developmental needs over military aspirations of superpowers.
In the face of existing crises, it is all the more important to build dialogue for mutual understanding (of cultures, religions, traditions) and to shape initiatives (in the field of energy transformation, the right to access water and food, opieki medycznej, or climate adaptation) that, through collective action, will allow humanity to better understand itself.
Because regardless of the clothing we wear and we eat, we remain the same. We remain human beings who share the same desires for the well-being of ourselves, our families, neighbours, coworkers, and so on.
Therefore, it is high time to find a formula that will enable us to build a civilization of Free and Well-rounded Development People.
The world media is dominated. This is very effective propaganda. Having money, having technology, having all the means so as not to take responsibility, you cross all boundaries, because the end justifies the means. We are hypnotized by the only valid and undeniable reasons.
Today, the most profitable wars have a brand. They are called "eternal and just wars": Afghanistan, Palestine, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and now Ukraine. They are all based on a set of lies.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is wanton and inexcusable. It is a crime to invade a sovereign country. There are no ‘buts’ – except one.
78 years after the end of World War II, after the tragic experiences of nations, tens of millions of human victims, destruction and war trauma, will there be the strength to stop the world heading towards World War III?
Let's not allow the war to escalate!
Let us shout with one voice, regardless of the country of origin:
NO TO WAR!
