Abstract: Human gene editing technology may become a technological boost for future social development. It has shown its irreplaceable value in more fields, including helping human beings to overcome medical problems, providing technical assistance for the development of genetics, expanding new fields of medical economic development, and contributing technical support to the era of “precision medicine” that human beings are entering. It can be said that the birth of the human gene editing technology has shown enormous development potential, but we must also be aware of the impact of the R&D and application of human gene editing technology on the existing value system and legal system, which has triggered a series of concerns about human rights violations, covering the right to life and health, the right to independent decision-making, the right to equality, etc. How to protect human rights while ensuring the stable development of science and technology is an important proposition that we need to contemplate.
