Jan. 24, 2019 -- For foreign diplomatic envoys in China, long-term stay in China makes them have a real understanding of China's achievements in four decades of reform and opening up.

“I have spent one third of the past 40 years working in China and witnessed China’s development. Nowadays China is the engine of  the world economic growth and a leader in global trade. I believe China’s reform and opening up are of great significance to both China and the world,” said Andre Denisov, Russian ambassador to China.

Bakhtiyor Saidov, Uzbekistan ambassador to China, said: “China has become the second largest economy in the world with the total volume of trade in goods increasing by more than 700 times compared with that 40 years ago. According to my observation, the decisive factor of such great achievements is the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China. We value the cooperation with China and respond positively to the Belt and Road initiative. I believe the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China will develop further, which proves China’s reform and opening up benefit all countries especially the developing ones.”

“China has lifted over 700 million people out of poverty since the reform and opening up, which is worthy of learning by many developing countries including Cuba. In recent years, China has made great efforts in protecting ecological environment. Cuba highly appreciates the Belt and Road initiative and is willing to carry out deep cooperation with China in infrastructure,” said Miguel Ramirez, Cuban ambassador to China.
