UNESCO senior official hails progress of China’s conservation of heritage sites
“I visited China for the first time in 1993, when I climbed the Mount Huangshan and was impressed by the diverse natural beauty,” said Mechtild Rossler, director of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Center, in an interview with Xinhua on June 30.
