July 10,2018-- A delegation of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) visited Greece from July 5 to July 6.
The delegation, headed by Fu Zitang, vice-president of the CSHRS and also president of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, held talks with Greek officials, lawyers, judges, scholars and journalists.
The delegation gave an introduction of China’s efforts and achievements in promoting human rights. China has always been putting the rights to subsistence and development as the priority human rights and integrating the development path of the human rights cause with China’s national conditions. China has lifted over 68 million people out of poverty since 2012. Meanwhile, China is actively participating in international human rights cooperation.
The Greek side spoke highly of China’s efforts on human rights protection. Greece and China, as two important civilizations in the world, have had far-reaching influence on humanity. China’s interpretation on human rights deserves respect in Europe.
