June 12, 2017 -- The philosophy of building a community of shared future for mankind put forward by President Xi Jinping provides a new way to tackle global challenges and represents a new approach to global human rights governance.
The seminar on “Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance” was held at Nankai University in Tianjin on Thursday.
Experts and scholars at the seminar believed that building a community of shared future for mankind is a new development of human rights theory, a new opportunity for China to lead the global human rights governance and for the world to establish a new coordination mechanism.
Liu Hainian, honorary director of Human Rights Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that this philosophy dovetails with the new world and heralds a bright future for the international cause of human rights.
“Building a community of shared future for mankind is also unavoidable in the process of market economy and the development of economic globalization,” said Li Junru, vice-chairman of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS).
