Seminar on global human rights governance held in Tianjin

June 9, 2017 -- The Seminar on Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance was held in Nankai University, Tianjin on Thursday.

 

The idea of building of a community of shared future for mankind, proposed by President Xi Jinping, is an important pathway for addressing prominent global challenges and provides a solution for improving international human rights governance, said Qiangba Puncog, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS).

 

Human rights scholars should study the idea and promote its significance to human rights governance, said Cui Yuying, vice minister of the State Council Information Office and vice chairman of the CSHRS.

 

Nearly 50 experts and scholars attended the seminar.

 

The seminar was sponsored by the CSHRS and the Publicity Department of Tianjin.
