May 31, 2017 -- A delegation of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) led by Qiangba Puncog, chairman of the CSHRS and vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, visited Brazil, Chile and Peru from May 21 to May 31. The delegation held talks with parliaments, government departments, think tanks and universities of the three countries on human rights development.

 

Qiangba Puncog gave an introduction of the major efforts of the CSHRS in recent years, Chinese human rights theory, new progress in legislation on human rights protection and human rights situation of Tibetan minorities.

 

The three countries appreciate the CSHRS’ efforts to promote human rights cause both in China and across the world. They consider this visit a good beginning for human rights cooperation with China.
