May 25, 2017 -- A delegation of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) visited Brazil from May 21 to May 24. The delegation held talks with Brazil’s human rights departments and think-tanks.
To respect and protect human rights is one of the principles laid down in China’s Constitution. The Chinese government has always adhered to people-oriented development concepts and promote China’s human rights cause, said Qiangba Puncog, president of the CSHRS.
Brazil appreciates the efforts the CSHRS has made to strengthen human rights studies, raise people’s awareness of human rights and promote human rights development both in China and across the world. Brazil looks forward to building closer ties with China in human rights research and education.
The CSHRS delegation will also visit Chile and Peru.
