April 12,2017--The Comprehensively Advancing Rule of Law and China’s Human Rights New Development Seminar was held in Chongqing Tuesday. It is hosted by China Society for Human Rights Studies(CSHRS) and undertaken by Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL).
 
A total of 46 human rights experts and scholars attended this seminar.
 
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC), the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has been comprehensively advancing the rule of law and pushed forward scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, which is of great importance to modernizing China’s national governance system, safeguarding human rights and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, experts said at the conference. 
 
The protection of human rights can’t be achieved without rule of law. The CPC Central Committee with President Xi Jinping as the core has always put the people at the core position, adhered to people-centered development thoughts, integrated rule of law with human rights protection to improve China’s human rights development.
 
China is entering a new stage of law construction and human rights protection. The socialist law system with Chinese characteristics centered by the Constitution has been improving. A law-based government has boosted human rights protection in law enforcement.
