Experts shed light on China's human rights progress
All roads lead to human rights development
The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) opened its 43rd regular session in Geneva, Feb. 24, 2020. Experts from China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) attended the session. During the session, the UNHRC held a high-level panel discussion to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the "Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action" . China also rebutted groundless accusations on Xinjiang-related issues. At a side event titled "Progress of Human Rights in China," scholars from the CSHRS introduced the country's human right protection system, the history, culture and religions of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
