Introduction

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) held its 41th regular session in Geneva, Switzerland from June 24 to July 12, 2019. Experts from China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) attended the session and held sideline meetings themed on "China's human rights progress in the past 70 years" and "China's human rights protection of ethnic minority groups" respectively. Chinese delegation made statements at the session and held a sideline meeting titled "Human Rights Progress in Xinjiang, China" . Also, a side-event, co-sponsored by UNOG's African Group and the Permanent Mission of China was held during the session, highlighting the growth's role in promotion of human rights.
