Abstract: The protection of women’s equal employment rights has always been an important part of the protection of women’s rights and interests with Chinese characteristics. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China，especially since the reform and opening up，laws and regulations guaranteeing equal employment for women have been formulated and constantly improved. In recent years，eliminating gender discrimination and ensuring equal employment for women have become issues of constant concern to the Party and the government. China has continued to explore mechanisms and measures to promote gender equality and eliminate gender discrimination，and made great progress in the protection of women’s equal employment rights. This paper explains and analyzes the development and practice innovation of the protection of women’s equal employment right in 2019，and puts forward suggestions for further improvement and reform of legislation，law enforcement and judicatory.
