The 2019 South-South Human Rights Forum opens in Beijing on Tuesday. Under the theme—“diversity of civilizations and global development of human rights,” the forum is hosted by the State Council Information Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

Gustavo Alejandro GIRADO said that the cooperation between China and other countries that is increasingly expanding is remarkable, and hence the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity is gaining the support of a growing number of people. We know that the concept of building a community with a shared future for humanity was raised by Xi Jinping in 2013, and that the Belt and Road Initiative is, in fact, the practice of that concept, acting as a huge cooperation platform for the countries involved to achieve something similar to a common development, to a benefit that is shared.
