The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has ordered procuratorates to give the public more access to information about legal cases.

In a new protocol made public on Saturday, the SPP asked local procuratorates to publish all information about investigations and prosecutions that is allowed by the law.

China's non-state-owned museums will receive the same treatment as state-owned institutions in establishment, management, and supportive taxation and financial policies, according to newly released regulations.

The regulations on museums, signed by Premier Li Keqiang, will take effect on March 20, said a statement issued Monday by the State Council, China's cabinet.

China's newly appointed Environmental Protection Minister has pledged to enhance supervision over local governments to strictly enforce the country's environmental rules.

Chen Jining, an environmental scientist and former president of Tsinghua University, was appointed to the position on Friday, replacing Zhou Shengxian.
