Commitment: Senior official vows harsh anti-corruption drive
A senior official with the Communist Party of China (CPC) vowed to continue fighting corruption in a statement released on Monday. Wang Qishan, secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), made the remarks while delivering a work report to the third plenary session of the commission on Jan. 13.

Commitment: Prosecutors to target officials' corruption
Chinese prosecutors vowed on Tuesday to target officials' corruption in personnel reshuffles, administrative approvals and law-enforcement activities as part of their graft probe this year. According to a national meeting of Chinese procuratorates' graft-busting bodies, prosecutors will step up their efforts to probe corruption in state assets management, land projects, food and drug safety, infrastructure building, transportation as well as in sectors of energy and telecoms.

New measure: Graft busters under increasing scrutiny in China's corruption crackdown
As China's anti-corruption campaign picks up momentum, those charged with rooting out graft are themselves being placed under increasing scrutiny. On Tuesday, the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee publicized 10 cases of disciplinary or legal violations by police officers, judges and prosecutors.

New measure: China fights corruption through stricter audits
China will impose stricter audits in key areas to intensify its crackdown on corruption, according to the National Audit Office. "Auditing plays an important role in supervision, and auditing bodies at various levels should be sharp-sighted in detecting problems of power abuse and corruption," said the office.

Punishment: Four Chinese officials punished for breaking anti-corruption guidelines
Four discipline officials have received punishments ranging from dismissal to criminal prosecution for breaking laws and Party anti-corruption guidelines, the discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said in a statement Monday.
